International Grants by Comic Relief to Help Creating a World Free from Poverty



The Comic Relief is calling applications for international grants to fulfill its seven primary goals which are crucial to create a world free from poverty.

What are goals of International Grants?
Women aged 15-49 and children under five have improved health
Disadvantaged children and adults gain access to, and attain, a good quality of education.
Women and girls are equal and respected members of society.
Slum dwellers have an improved quality of life.
Children and young people at risk are safer, with greater opportunities to increase their skills and life prospects.
People affected by HIC have an improved quality of life.
Poor people can improve their income through trade, enterprises and employment.

Funding Information

Comic Relief will fund revenue costs such as salaries, and are willing to fund small capital items, such as office furniture and computers. Additionally, applicants must be able to demonstrate how they would effectively manage the asset for the duration of the project or over its lifetime. Organization is committed to covering the reasonable wider organizational costs of running programme as part of a ‘full cost recovery’ approach.

Eligibility Criteria
Proposals from individuals, school/colleges, hospitals, and statutory bodies will not be accepted.
Comic Relief accepts proposals from churches and other faith based organizations. However, Comic Relief will not fund activities which evangelize (the practice of preaching or spreading religious beliefs), or proselytize (the practice of trying to convert people to one’s own belief or opinion.
Comic Relief does not accept proposals to International Fund from non-registered organizations.
Comic Relief only accepts proposals to International Grants Fund from organisations based in the Channel Islands, England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales or the Isle of Man.
Comic Relief will:
only consider one proposal from an organization at a time.
only consider proposals from organizations that have previously failed our compliance checks if the issues we identified have been addressed.
not consider proposals that have previously considered and decided not to fund, unless invited by the organization to resubmit their proposal.
only consider proposals from organizations with previously unsuccessful proposals if their new proposal is for a different project.
only consider proposals from UK registered organizations working in partnership with local organizations in Africa unless otherwise invited.
